Wednesday Cinema: Dreaming Lhasa

Join us for a screening of Dreaming Lhasa directed, written and produced by artist filmmakers Ritu Sarin and Tenzing Sonam. This feature film follows Karma, a Tibetan filmmaker from New York who goes to Dharamsala, the Dalai Lama’s exile headquarters in northern India, to make a documentary about former political prisoners who have escaped from Tibet.

Ritu Sarin and Tenzing Sonam are part of Marabouparken’s current exhibition Mouth Shut, Loud Shouts; their film practice focuses on the Tibetan struggle and covers both documentary and feature films.
