Artitst talk – Chiara Bugatti

Welcome to an artist talk with the artists Chiara Bugatti, whose exhibition Horror Vacui we are currently showing, and Bella Rune.

In her art Bugatti explores the materiality through interventions that goes beyond the sculptural object and moves towards the performative, where movements, gestures and the spatial are important parts of the works.

In the upper gallery of Marabouparken, Bugatti creates an installation that takes up the entire space of the room. There, different materialities, as much as the perceived void between them, create both coherence and friction. An exploration of proximity and distance, and the meaning that can arise in between.

Bella Rune works with sculpture, performative elements and experiments with various materials and techniques. Her practice is based on interests in craft, history and contemporary culture but also the relation between the physical reality and the virtual.

The talk takes place in Marabouparken’s library and will be held in Swedish. Chiara Bugatti’s exhibition will be open until the talk starts.
