Madeleine Bergh talks about her experiences of travelling in Mali and shows her documentary Porträtt i Bamako about photographer Seydou Keita. Malick Sidibé’s work is discussed in relation to an on-going portrait tradition in Mali.

Madeleine Bergh is a documentary film maker and has been senior lecturer and vice-principal at Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts.
