Lecture by Peter Bryngelsson
Wednesday, November 26 at 6 pm

The musician and author Peter Bryngelsson lectures on music’s ability to justify our actions. Based on Anders Behring Breivik’s music list at Utøya, Bryngelsson will show examples from music´s presence in war, torture and mass murder through famous dictators taste in music: Pol Pot, Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin and Idi Amin.

After the lecture The Great Learning Orchestra will perform compositions from their exhibition a4 rum.

The lecture will be in Swedish and is included in the admission 50 kr.


Peter Bryngelsson is a musician and writer. He has been a member of several bands including Ragnarök, Urban Turban and Cinematique. Bryngelsson has also authored the books Filmmusik, det komponerade miraklet, Musik och Tortyr; torterad till den ljuvaste musik and Vårt behov av tystnad.
