Are we neighbors? Apply for our Open Call!
As a start to Marabouparken konsthall’s participation in Sundbyberg’s 100th anniversary celebration in 2027, we are taking the opportunity to pay attention to the local community. Now we are sneakily starting the party by opening for Open Call applications for the first in a series of smaller solo exhibitions where we present artists from Sundbyberg.
In 2027, the city of Sundbyberg will be 100 years old. Marabouparken is an important part of local industrial and cultural history. The sculpture park that was once created for Marabou’s workers is today a tourist attraction and a listed building. Marabouparken konsthall fills the place with contemporary culture and connects history with today’s art.
If you live in Sundbyberg and are a professionally active artist, you are welcome to submit an application to exhibit in the konsthall’s project room. We want your application no later than October 8. The exhibition opens on December 12 and runs until February 8, with a break for Christmas. A fee of SEK 10,000 is paid against invoice. We are primarily looking for existing works. We are responsible for installation, marketing, poster and insurance. The works must be left and picked up at the art gallery and you must be available to participate in the installation.
We would like a PDF, maximum 5 pages, containing a CV with personal and contact information, images of the works you wish to include and possible links to video or audio works and a short text about your works.
