The Senior Club is now starting at Marabouparken konsthall! The club is open to all seniors – no prior knowledge required. The club is intended as a way to experience art together with others in a pleasant way. You will meet the art gallery staff or an invited art educator or artist.
What’s happening? The club will offer guided tours interspersed with the opportunity to try your own creation. Since this is a new activity, we will develop the club over time, together with our visitors.
When is the club? The Senior Club meets a couple of times a month, always on Thursday mornings between 10:30 and 12:00
How much does it cost? Participation in the Senior Club is free for all seniors. Visits to the art gallery’s exhibitions in connection with the club are also free.
Do you have to register? You just have to show up for the viewings. When we work in the workshop, there are a limited number of places – if you want to be sure of a place, it is best to register at pedagogik@marabouparken.se. First come, first served! If you want to take a chance, you can join if there is space.

Tour of the sculpture park. An introduction to the history of the park and the sculptures in it.
Registration required. Gathering in the upper part of the park, by the boxer. There are stairs in the park and it is therefore not fully accessible. Registration required: pedagogik@marabouparken.se

Guided tour of Torsten Andersson’s exhibition The Weight of Language. The exhibition contains around thirty paintings from his entire active period as an artist, as well as drawings and one of his early sculptural objects. No registration required.
October 1, 10:00–12:00
Workshop Club. Inspired by Torsten Andersson’s artistry, artist Jonas Malmberg will hold a workshop where the border between drawing and painting is explored. Limited number of places, pre-registration required: pedagogik@marabouparken.se

Guided tour of Eva Mag’s exhibition Inner Constructive Logistics. Her art consists mainly of sculpture and installation, often in dialogue with performance and choreography. No pre-registration required.
November 12 10:30-12:00
Workshop club with the theme of sculpture. With steel wire and wax we explore shapes and volumes.

Workshop club with the theme of linoleum printing. Meet the artist and educator Tommy Mäkinen and test the possibilities of graphic printing. Limited number of places, pre-registration required: pedagogik@marabouparken.se

Exhibition tour and Lucia fika. We will end the autumn by taking a closer look at current art in the house and having coffee together. No pre-registration is required.
