This fall Marabouparken konsthall is very happy to present the artist Hanna Ljungh’s largest solo exhibition to date.
Hanna Ljungh devotes herself to an artistic examination of the matter we describe as stone, ground, earth, land and mountains. Her artistic practice often explores the relation between the organic and inorganic, between human and nature. This includes thoughts on the Anthropocene, distribution of resources and what we as humans outmost exists of. Hanna Ljungh’s art has both a micro perspective on the human body and the body of society and a larger macro perspective on our planet and out towards space and infinity.
In 2016 her Swedish and international breakthrough came with her almost six hours long film I am mountain, to measure impermanence in which she in one long take from Kebnekaise’s northern peak filmed the melting southern peak. Hanna Ljungh works with video, photo, sculpture and installations where she reevaluates the relation between what we see as human and non-human existence.
