Artist talk – materiality and temporality
Welcome to an artist talk with the artists Bella Rune, Johanna Gustafsson-Fürst and Jonas Nobel. The talk will be based around Silje Figenschou Thoresen’s exhibition härifrån strök gränsen mot nordväst i en båge that is shown in Marabouparken konsthall until the 17 September.
The talk will be centered around themes as materiality, temporality, design, language, use and reuse. Themes that all four artists explore in different ways.
Bella Rune works with sculpture, performative elements and experiments with various materials and techniques. Her practice is based on interests in craft, history and contemporary culture but also the relation between the physical reality and the virtual.
Johanna Gustafsson Fürst works mainly with sculptures and installations in long term processes dealing for example with linguistic violence and inclusion and exclusion in public space.
Jonas Nobel works with installations, collage, drawings and sculpture. He has a multifaceted practice both as an individual artist and as cofounder of the art–, design– and architecture collective Uglycute.
